All set for WoodEX for Africa

Final preparations are underway for WoodEX for Africa, which will be held at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa, from 21 – 23 March 2013. With local and international exhibitors and visitors in attendance this event will definitely be a highlight on the timber trade agenda for the year.

Stephan Jooste, Director of WoodEX, says the event’s visitor promotional campaign is rolling out with advertisements and articles in a variety of industry publications. These advertisements will soon be followed by a radio campaign, street posters and newspaper advertisements. “We are very grateful for the support from our project sponsors, the industry associations, our media partners and our exhibitors. WoodEX is the ideal platform for wood and woodworking professionals to be on the frontier of the timber industry and to network, and we look forward to an excellent event this year.”

Call for Papers for Timber Talks at WoodEX for Africa 2013

Members of the timber industry are invited to submit topics and suggest speakers for the Timber Talks being held during WoodEX for Africa 2013. A first at WoodEX for Africa this year, the Timber Talks are a number of short presentations which will take place within WoodEX for Africa, which will provide a dynamic and interactive learning experience for visitors and exhibitors at the expo.

WoodEX for Africa 2013 launched to the industry

WoodEX for Africa 2013, Africa’s leading timber trade exhibition being held at Gallagher Convention Centre from 21 to 23 March 2013, was recently launched to the timber industry at a function held at Gallagher Convention Centre.

Speaking at the event, WoodEX Exhibition Manager Lynn Chamier said the international interest in WoodEX has grown tremendously since the inaugural exhibition earlier this year, and agents in Europe and China are actively marketing the show. “Bookings for exhibition space are already more than 50 per cent up compared to the same time last year, and we are receiving enquiries daily. We are looking forward to an excellent event in 2013.”

WoodEX for Africa 2013 exhibition space selling fast

Demand for exhibition space at WoodEX for Africa 2013 is strongly exceeding expectations, with some of South Africa’s biggest and most respected names in the timber industry already committed to showcasing their products and services at the event being held at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa, from 21 to 23 March 2013.

More than 50 per cent of the available exhibition space has been booked, with many of the reservations being repeat bookings from the inaugural exhibition held earlier this year. The most recent exhibitors who confirmed their participation include companies like Woodtech, National Edging, Leitz Tooling, FX Veneer, Cell Hardware Products, Quart International, Alternative Structures, Pretoria Timber Treaters, Easy Clip, Dieffenbacher, Microvellum Software, South African Wood Preservers Association, Pride of Africa, Steelmeester, Simpson Strong-Tie and Rhino Modified Wood.

WoodEX for Africa 2013 enjoying strong exhibitor demand

WoodEX for Africa 2013 is still nearly six months away but there has been a significant rise in the demand for stand space compared to last year, with numerous exhibitors wanting to make a bigger impact at WoodEX for Africa 2013. WoodEX for Africa 2013 will be held from 21 to 23 March at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa.

This trade exhibition, which also targets the consumer and DIY markets, is receiving a lot of interest from the African and European wood industries, as well as the support of international associations like the Italian Woodworking Machinery and Tools Manufacturers’ Association (ACIMALL) and the German Woodworking Machinery and Tools Manufacturers' Association (VDMA).

Excellent feedback after first WoodEX for Africa

The first WoodEX for Africa Exhibition and Conference, held at Gallagher Convention Centre last week, was received with great enthusiasm amongst exhibitors, conference delegates and visitors.

WoodEX directors Philip Boardman and Stephan Jooste say the expo has been great. “We had excellent feedback from both attendees and exhibitors for this first expo. The timber industry has obviously been waiting for this event and we are very grateful for the support from industry associations, media partners, exhibitors, conference speakers, delegates and visitors. Our exhibitors were very happy about the quality of visitors, the great networking opportunities and the market exposure. Our conference delegates found the conference both informative and of a very high quality. We have taken all the feedback to heart and will use this information to expand the expo to ensure an even bigger and better show next year.”
